What we officially recommend to our users is that you have an electrician come out and run a non-flexible conduit through the wall that terminates near your Smart Splitter and charger for easy plug-in on both ends. This solution will satisfy all NEC guidelines for passing wiring through the wall and also allow for the Smart Splitter to be utilized as an end-user installable product.
Here are a few of our Smart Splitter users that have utilized this approach:

With his DIY approach he used an extension cord to get from his dryer to the EV on the other side of the wall which will work fine, but we would still officially recommend a non-flexible conduit for code compliance reasons.
