Energy Monitor Status Light GuideUpdated an hour ago
Overview:
The Energy Monitor has one status light on the front. The steady color shows the monitor's health, and a short blink on top adds extra information. Slow fades are normal. Fast, repeating flashes indicate a fault.
Normal Operation:
- WHITE / GREEN pulse: All good. Online and reporting every 30 seconds.
- PURPLE, BLUE blink: Ready for setup. The monitor isn't configured yet and Bluetooth is open.
- PURPLE, no blink: Bluetooth is closed. Press the button once to reopen it.
- WHITE / PURPLE blink: Firmware updating. Don't cut power.
- BLUE blink over any color: Bluetooth is open (for 30 minutes).
Needs Attention:
- YELLOW: Check the app. A circuit is over its limit, or Wi-Fi is weak. This clears itself.
- RED: The monitor is too hot, or the internet is down. Fix the cause; a power cycle won't clear it. Check that your router is online and the Wi-Fi name and password haven't changed.
- ORANGE: Check the wiring. The voltage harness doesn't match the service type. An electrician needs to correct this.
- FAST FLASHING (red x3, or purple strobe): Call support. Power-cycle once; if it returns, the unit needs service.
- No light: The monitor has no power. An electrician should check the voltage harness and its breaker.
Button Functions:
- Hold until blue, then release: reopens Bluetooth for setup.
- Hold until red: nothing happens.
- 3 red flashes at 3 seconds: factory reset is armed.
Note: the Energy Monitor is installed inside your electrical panel. Homeowners should not open the panel. If the button or wiring needs attention, contact support or your installer.
